Kel Hudson is a Senior Project Manager and Estimator responsible for cost estimating, payroll, contracts, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control. He ensures that projects are on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards, enabling the team to provide for their families. With experience in almost every company position, Kel has a comprehensive understanding of the business, from sweeping floors and shoveling at 16 to laboring and carpentry during college and now estimating and project management. He continues to learn every day.
Kel holds a degree from the University of Mississippi (2008-2011) and has worked for Hanco throughout college. His previous experience includes roles in plant management, job site quality control, and sales at MMC Materials before returning to Hanco in 2012. The most rewarding aspects of his work are the excitement of starting new projects and seeing the final product transform from dirt to a functioning commercial building.
Kel is a member of the Hattiesburg Civic Association, Midway First Baptist Church, ABC Mississippi, and holds certifications including NCCER, OSHA 30, and Nucor Certified Builder. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with friends and family outdoors and traveling to new places. His wife, Dr. Rachael Hudson, is a Family Practice Physician with Hattiesburg Clinic at Orleans Park. They have a young daughter, Frances Claire Hudson, who is just learning to crawl, and a Yellow Lab named Bobo.
Fun fact: Mr. Hudson is a pretty decent karaoke singer.
